National Dance Day!
If you’ve read my pathetic attempt at an about me page, or you read this post, you know I’m a dancer/dance teacher. Of course, I’ve mentioned it on Twitter a handful of times too.
Today is National Dance Day! What is that? It is a small, grass roots initiative to inspire people of all ages, sizes, and experience to get up and move. So You Think You Can Dance has even posted three different videos with varying degrees of skill levels for you to learn short pieces from awesome choreographers.
Well, I wanted to do a video (memory card isn’t fast enough) or maybe even a gif, but I haven’t had the time (or the brain power) to get it put together. Instead, the best I could do was tote my tripod out to the studio, set the timer, and see what would happen. I can’t really add any words to these pictures, so I will let them speak for themselves. After all, dance is the language of the feet.

Your feet are so pointy!!
I am a dancer too, of the tapping variety. I hope you can post a dance video on your blog someday, but I understand its not that easy. Thanks for sharing!

I’m a tapper too, but that wasn’t as easy to photograph myself.
Awesome photos! So lovely to see you dancing and especially while pregnant too – what an athlete! I love the sense of movement that comes across in these shots.

I’m hoping to get a video up after the baby is born. I also want to include the different styles I do too.
Very nice! I didn’t know it was National Dance Day! I am going to Zumba class this morning, love that work out! Been doing it for 2 years now,4 times a week.
I read an article just the other day that dancing makes you smarter, more so than crossword puzzles.
Keep dancing and as Lady Ga Ga says,”It’ll be okay, just dance!”
Always,
Diane

Oh! Thank you so much Terri. I’m glad you liked the post.
You look so happy dancing! I’m glad you’re still able to dance while you’re pregnant. I contra dance and dance a teeny bit of swing, but I never look as graceful as you do!

Dancing makes me happy. I can’t even explain how excited I am every time I head out the door just to go teach classes at the studio.
Beautiful! Can’t believe you’re still doing it while pregnant! Hardcore.

Awe, thank you! I’ve had to take it easy, but I’m still teaching a semi-full class load at the studio.
Look at you go! All preggers and stuff too. Prayse has loved looking at these photos wishing she could do all of these poses
Where do you teach?
