I did have an outfit to post today, but the pictures need to be reformatted. Nate was going to do this for me, but couldn’t get the program to work right. Hopefully, those pictures will be ready to post later this week. I decided I still wanted to blog about something even though I didn’t have “new pictures” to post. I decided to take Ashe’s advice, and turn to my site stats and search terms. After combing through the results I decided that a lot of people are searching for and finding my blog by searching for maternity fashion. As luck would have it I was in fact pregnant for a good chunk of last year. Thus, I have a stock pile of posts featuring my pregnancy fashions. Feel free to browse through all of my maternity ootd posts . However, I will share with you my favorite & more “obviously pregnant” outfit combinations.

In July, the bloggers participating in Everybody, Everywear donned yellow and bathed the blogosphere in sunshiny yellow. I   dyed a pair of khaki shorts yellow for my entry.grey sweater, pink pants, colored denim, pregnancy fashion, maternity style

This non-maternity pregnancy approved outfit is another entry for Everybody, Everywear. I thrifted these pink jeans two sizes bigger than my normal jeans, and utilized my Bella Band to wear these pants clear through my pregnancy. Even a                         few weeks before giving birth I was still styling these colored jeans with comfort and flare.colored denim, pink jeans, maternity fashion, pregnancy style

A few of my favorite maternity outfits I barely looked pregnant in, because, of how I decided to dress my ever expanding baby bump. High waists, forgiving fabrics, and belts can be your friend while dressing during a pregnancy.high waisted denim skirt, maternity fashion

However, embracing your pregnant shape can be quite flattering too. The last two maternity/pregnancy outfits I am going to show you I wore right at the end, and I didn’t shy away from form fitting fashions.pattern mixing, maternity fashion, pregnancy style, rain boots

polka dots, pink cardiganPolka Dots are a big trend for this fall. This shirt, however, is a bit spring like. That was ok with me. It was comfortable to wear, and the open flutter sleeve cardigan pulled it all together. I almost didn’t get pictures taken today. The night before I pulled/tore/or plain ol’ injured something teaching dance. I could barely walk the next morning, and I was exhausted too. I woke myself up several times in the middle of the night crying, because, it hurt too much to roll over. Magically, Nate managed to sleep through my tears almost every time. Don’t get me wrong if I wanted him to wake up he would have, but since there was absolutely nothing he could do for me I let him sleep.parks, playground, swingsets

I’m glad I did feel up to taking pictures, because, Nate started to get some more artistic shots as we went. You can find the extra shots on No Guilt Fashion’s Facebook Page.black and white photo, polka dots

I’m beyond ready to have this baby and hold my little guy in my arms. I think everything is purchased, put together, or put away ready for Jazz to make his grand appearance at the home front. I also think I’ve got things kind of sorted out for the blog too.  Guest posts, giveaways, and lots of posts outside my normal ootd parameters. I hope you enjoy what I have put together for you. I’m not sure exactly how long I’ll be gone, or if I ever will truly be disconnected. I just know I will have my hands full while recovering from surgery and adjusting to two kids at home instead of just Lyla.pink ballet flatspolka dots, key necklace, charm necklace

plaid shirt, rosesThe fashion blogging community has mixed opinions on pregnant bloggers, and how much or little should be shared. Some people don’t mind pregnant bloggers just as long as they don’t get all mushy, gushy on them. I have not been told I have gone over board, or that people appreciate my take on maternity fashion while not crossing an invisible line of “etiquette” for a lack of a better word. However, I’m almost done with this pregnancy, and it will likely be my last (for awhile at least). Since, I am nearing the finish line I may cross that invisible line and post my un-maternity pictures. I say “un-maternity”, because, I didn’t do a lot of the look at my baby bump!, or overly sweet husband kissing the belly, and I certainly wasn’t going to show my pregnancy battle scars (even though I’m not ashamed of them in the least bit). In these maternity pictures I am fully clothed, by myself, and the only gushy part is  the words already written in the ground.maternity pictures, pattern mixing, butterfliesmaternity pictures, pattern mixing, flannel shirt

I was in the mood for fall pattern mixing in hopes of cooler weather for browsing the Barn Festival last weekend. Sadly, it was 70 out and I was a bit toasty.pattern mixing, flannel shirt, plaid shirt, jeansstripes and plaid,

white shirt, t-shirt, v-neck shirt, skinny jeansThis week’s visual Friend Friday is Decades of Fashion hosted by Shelly, of GS Lillian. I have been having a hard time getting dressed without feeling just plain blah. This was a challenge that I knew I could make without having to much trouble getting dressed. I went with a male as my inspiration, and am glad I did. Can you guess what my inspiration was? I actually got a lot of compliments on my outfit. Without further ado I give you my inspiration.

Now it was a bit warm out to wear a jacket, so I opted out. However, my bouffant, white t-shirt, cuffed jeans, and black shoes had a good enough feel for the outfit.

I don’t honestly have much to say about this outfit, however, I was comfy all day long! Yet, I felt really put together with the red lipstick.v-neck shirt, skinny jeans

yellow dress, tour de lincoln bikeThis dress didn’t look like it does know when I bought it. I’ll post more on that another day. However, it had several important things about it. It has pockets, a color, full skirt, and it was yellow. How much fun is it to wear a yellow dress? I felt like the sun shined a little brighter every time I walked out the door. Maybe it was a little brighter inside too. Anyway, I love my yellow dress and can’t wait to wear it this fall too.chunky wooden heels, yellow dress, tour de lincoln bike

Do you wear bright colors in the fall, or are you one that transitions over to jewel towns and colors inspired by the changing of the leaves? I think all colors can be worn all year long with the right combinations.yellow dress, white belt

I felt a bit like Tania of What Would a Nerd Wear posing in my yellow dress by one of the Tour de Lincoln bikes. However, Tania would have had her own stack of books as accessories and a real bike. I hope to get a bike by next spring, so maybe I can recreate this look again sometime.bracelets, stacked bracelets, accessories, pearl ring

I also received a lot of flack from my father in-law for wearing such high heels while pregnant. I just shrugged, and thought to myself if Terra can wear her heels up until she pops I can too!thrifted yellow dress, chunky heels
