These fuschia colored, cutoffs where once my $1 goodwill treasure that I wore like crazy during my pregnancy. However, in this post they were saved to live another day. Boy, am I glad I made the decision to save them. I’ve worn them so many times during this hotter than usual summer. So what if they are big and almost fall off by the end of the day a little big?!?! They fill the spot in my summer wardrobe perfectly, and didn’t cost many any more money.

My husband bought me a laptop battery for my MacBook that I am despertally awaiting the arrival of. It is unbelievably hard to blog on a laptop that you must keep plugged in when Jazz is crawling EVERYWHERE including over and around the cord that will pop free with the slightest pull. I have been blogging on my iPad for the most part. However, that works when I don’t have a lot to say or when posting infrequently.

I am still absolutely beside myself that I have been able to wear so many of my regular clothing items so far into this pregnancy. I’m the happiest that so many of my skirts found at thrift stores still fit, or at least can be modified to be wearable still. I’m not saying this to brag. I’m happy about this fact, because, it is so incredibly hot out that skirts and dresses are a few of the best things to wear right now. I wear shorts too, but they aren’t always as comfortable or cool enough to wear. Did you see my DIY yellow shorts?

I don’t think I would have paired these pieces together a year ago when I started this blog, but I’ve seen more and more 7/14/11#2

This is probably my least favorite 30 for 30 remix so far. I like everything together, but it just seems bulky and stumpy. I should have worn heels, and maybe tucked in and belted the shirt and skirt. Oh well I was sick and it was cold, so comfort and necessity won out. What do you do on those days?

Does anybody else regret a few of there 30 for 30 pieces due to the changing weather? I included my denim skirt, because, we had weeks of wonderful 70+ weather. Unfortunately, just after the challenge started the weather dropped dramatically. We even had 4″ of snow over the weekend. Let me tell you I wasn’t to happy about that.

Well, I’m not giving up on this skirt regardless of the weather. I decided to wear some fun, colorful sweater tights. I actually really like the look. I thought at first I would feel like a little kid. The kiddos I watch at nursery have pulled out there sweater tights, and today I joined them.

Picture this, instead of Dorothy and her ruby slippers, me and my yellow flats. I’m clicking them together three times and repeating there is no place like home, there is no place like home. Why did I pull in this Wizard of Oz reference? I’m glad you asked. It is because, tonight I’m off to visit with the munch-kins and follow the yellow brick road AKA it is Wednesday night and I’m working nursery at church. Hmmm…does that make Nate the Tin Man, Scarecrow, or the Cowardly Lion? Of course, Lyla would be my Toto.
