Spot On

I saw this jeans in the kid’s department at Target, and I knew they would fit better than the snow leopard print jeans I already had at home. I’m glad k bough them, because, I was not wrong at all. These printed pants were worth the $12. :)

I was given two pairs of Tom’s shoes for Christmas, but I haven’t gotten much chance to wear them with all of the snow and the rain. I was glad for a spring like day to have an opportunity to take them out.

tank top, trapeze top, shorts, cutoffs, sandalsThis trapeze tank top is another item I received from my sister when she cleaned out her closet. I kind of LOVE it! Very light and airy. Simply perfect for blistering summer weather. Which by the way, with kids going back to school shouldn’t we be getting some cooler almost fall like weather? I would love to wear a new pair of jeans I’ve got hanging in my closet.rings, chevron rings, chevron, pink nail polishtank top, trapeze top, shorts, cutoffs, sandalsNow to turn things around for a second. I have to say that a baby in a t-shirt and cloth diaper is probably the cutest thing I’ve seen all summer. My sister cleaned out her closet, and I received a few new pieces for my closet. Don’t worry, this wasn’t a purchase at all and does not break the rules of my shopping ban. I received these pieces before the ban started anyway. The shorts are one of the items I came home with. Boy oh boy are they soft too. It is like wearing pajama shorts all day long.

Do you have a clothing items like that? Things that you may not always wear, but when you do you feel incredibly comfortable all day long. I almost fell asleep two or three times during the day. Not the best thing to have happen when your playing single mom for the week.

When I changed into this outfit before leaving the gym one of the guys that lifts weights at the same time I do commented when we were walking out of the gym that he had to do a double take, because, I looked like a lady. Makes me want to know what I look like when I work out. It didn’t hurt my feelings, since, I knew he meant it as a compliment. However, it did make me chuckle.

Somebody asked me if my sundress had clouds on it. No clouds, just oddly shaped patterns. I decided the dress was too big for me as is, but belting it would be ok. Yet, after belting it I remembered that I would probably be a bit chilling that evening. After removing the belt, I chose a striped button up that would make for a fun pattern blend. I would be warm enough too.

This weekend I was in charge of the finale rehearsal at my studio. Usually, this practice has 50+ girls and two teachers and one high school assistant. Because, the Arabesque Company, our dance team was competing in Kansas City we had fewer ten ten fewer girls. However, it also meant that I was the only teacher. Thankfully, everything went really well and the dancers worked really hard.

How was your weekend? Any exciting happenings?
