From Colored Tights to Colored Pants

colored pants, over the knee boots, otk bootsYesterday, I wore a pair of colored tights for Everybody, Everywear. Today, I’m wearing a pair of colored pants. I love wearing colored leg wear no matter what the type may be. It just makes me happy and stand out a bit. Colored pants and tights are perfect pieces for fall/winter. When it is rainy, snowy, grey outside having a little extra color in your outfit is nice. Don’t you think?

colored pants, over the knee boots, I was actually a little disappointed when I wore this outfit. It was one of those days when the morning is FREEZING cold, but by the afternoon it is up to 60+ degrees out. Guess I should check the weather a little better when choosing outfits.

What They Wore: Early Fall Transitions

This week on What They Wore I wanted to take a look at outfits that are appropriate for early fall transitions. Personally, I’m had a lot of trouble dressing for the week of cooler weather we had earlier this month. I had a lot of ideas, but some of my cooler weather clothing won’t fit over this baby bump. Also, I like using colored tights to make clothes work in cooler weather. However, I don’t want to stretch out any of my favorite tights. I’ll wait, and put a We Love Colors order together after the baby arrives. While I’m trying to narrow down my color choices, enjoy these bloggers!

Adding a blazer to your favorite summer dresses is a nice way to make the transition too. Just check out how Kendra, of Closet Confections, styled her orange dress with yellow accents.

Climbing Rocks In Style

7/19/11#1

I spent this shoot jumping back and forth between islands, and climbing over rocks. All of this in two inch heels. Ha…if my doctor would have seen me she probably would have yelled at me. As it was, Nate was already super cautious of where I tried to cross over. He made sure it was at the narrowest part.

7/19/11#2I finally found a pair of sunglasses that don’t slide around on my face. With this heat my old pair would be at the tip of my nose, a few minutes after being outside. Even in the car with the AC cranked this would happen. Yikes! I did some hunting around, and found this neon pair at Target. They have a bit of a rubberized coating to them, and that has helped immensely with the slipping and sliding. Needless to say, I’m a little excited that I have found what seems to be the perfect frames for me.collage #1
