30 for 30: Outfit #13

Yikes! It is the middle of September already. Where did the year go? Last night I had a meeting to discuss the logistics of our Trunk and Treat party. It is about a month and a half away, and will be here before we know it. It also means that I should start thinking about what Lyla should dress up as. Any suggestions for a cute two year old?
Now for the outfit. I felt very pretty today. Between the black and white patterned skirt, and the combination of different purples of the tank and cardigan. I think purple is a great color on me with my current hair color.

Good news! I just got a part time job as the nursery director for my church. Yay for the extra income! However, with only one car we now will be busy approximately eight days a week.
Remember the skirt I wore yesterday? Go ahead and click the link if you missed it. The skirt is a few sizes too big for me but I loved the print, so I was determined to make it work. I decided pinning it in back would look alright since it is a full skirt, and I was belting it the gathered spot wasn’t as noticeable. My other option was to not pin it and wear it as a dress or top. At Nate’s suggestion I tried it out, and surprisingly liked it a lot. Now I’m a true re-mixer. I’ve worn dresses as skirts here and here. Now I’m wearing a skirt as a dress/top.

Thanks for all of the get well wishes sent to Lyla yesterday. She is still not feeling like herself today. She did manage to sleep all through the night. She still doesn’t have much of an appetite. Sadly, the only thing she wants to eat is cold pizza from her mini party last night. Cold pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner…shoulder shrug…at least she is eating something. Don’t worry she is getting plenty of fruits and veggies from the V8 Fusion she is chugging down like it is going out of style.
I went shopping in my Mom’s closet last week, and out of the things she was giving away I snagged this skirt. It is a bit big on me, but a little pinning made it wearable if I belted it. Keep an eye out for what I plan on doing with it tomorrow! Yes, I wore the shirt yesterday. I can’t help myself. The color is so gosh darn pretty.
