This is probably my least favorite 30 for 30 remix so far. I like everything together, but it just seems bulky and stumpy. I should have worn heels, and maybe tucked in and belted the shirt and skirt. Oh well I was sick and it was cold, so comfort and necessity won out. What do you do on those days?

Does anybody else regret a few of there 30 for 30 pieces due to the changing weather? I included my denim skirt, because, we had weeks of wonderful 70+ weather. Unfortunately, just after the challenge started the weather dropped dramatically. We even had 4″ of snow over the weekend. Let me tell you I wasn’t to happy about that.

Well, I’m not giving up on this skirt regardless of the weather. I decided to wear some fun, colorful sweater tights. I actually really like the look. I thought at first I would feel like a little kid. The kiddos I watch at nursery have pulled out there sweater tights, and today I joined them.

Picture this, instead of Dorothy and her ruby slippers, me and my yellow flats. I’m clicking them together three times and repeating there is no place like home, there is no place like home. Why did I pull in this Wizard of Oz reference? I’m glad you asked. It is because, tonight I’m off to visit with the munch-kins and follow the yellow brick road AKA it is Wednesday night and I’m working nursery at church. Hmmm…does that make Nate the Tin Man, Scarecrow, or the Cowardly Lion? Of course, Lyla would be my Toto.

The other problem I’m running into with my new schedule is coming up with titles when I put together 2-3 posts at a time.
As I look out my window I see yellow leaves in the trees. I know this means my neighborhood will become an ocean of crunchy leaves before long. This outfit was, however, not inspired by fall weather or crunchy leaves. It was inspired by wanting to wear these pants with boots, not liking the results, and not having time to change into anything else.

Brush Strokes

As I write this we are getting to know the newest member of our family. I want to take a second and introduce you to Jack. He is a five month old, black lab. It is tough getting a dog at this stage of the game. We are dealing with a puppy that is much bigger and stronger than our two year old daughter. At first she was terrified of him, but after a minute or two she became very interested in him. As long as she was safe up on the couch.

Because, of the large amounts of pictures I will keep the text short. I don’t have much to say about this outfit anyway. The only thing I can say is I like the brush stroke flower on the shirt, and how the bright pink cardigan makes it more than just jeans and a t-shirt.
