jean jacket, shorts, tank topWhile driving home from teaching Lyla’s dance class at the studio everything is quiet for at least five minutes. Nobody has said a single word, but Lyla pipes up, “Daddy, did you say you want ice cream?” Nate and I die laughing, but sadly we didn’t have time to stop and get the girl ice cream. We had to get home, so Nate could go to work. However, you can’t blame the girl for trying. She came up with a plan that under any other circumstance would have earned her a dish of ice cream. jean jacket, shorts, tank topThe Scoop

Last time I took blog pictures at a school it was really cold out. This time it was the exact opposite. It was so incredibly hot out. I was wearing loose clothing, but still was almost dripping sweat while taking these pictures.

Admittedly, this is not my most stylish outfit. However, like I said it was incredibly hot out and I planned on doing some packing after these shots were taken. Hold on though, look at my feet. I added wedges to attempt to dress up the outfit at least a little bit. Did it work?

On What They Wore this week, I wanted to show you how bloggers are wearing khaki without looking stuffy.

My first blogger up to bat is the ever adorable Kate, of Divergent Musings. She two classic pieces, and jazzed them up with simple yet cute accessories.

P.S. Kate I have those shoes, and the gel inserts made a great difference.

Kimmie, from Blue Paper Lanterns, wore a simple outfit of a white t-shirt and khaki shorts. However, she really amped up her style with those shoes.

At Sunday Crossbow, I found an awesome outfit that is completely neutral colors. However, it is not boring at all! She looks great, doesn’t she?

Next I present to you Nicole, of Employed Panache. She found this lost outfit on her memory card, and I’m glad she did. I love how everything works together.

Miss Rockwell sent in a fun boyfriend style khaki look. I like how she wasn’t afraid to go with bright colors.

P.S. This week’s visual FBFF post is fun DIY manicures, and it is hosted at her blog Lifestyles of the Thrifty and Shameless.

That is it for this weeks What They Wore. Next week it will be stripes all around! If you would like to be included let me know. danie AT noguiltfashion DOT com

Two Faced

Fifty degrees one day, and the very next day it is colder than crazy. This outfit is obviously from the fifty degree day. Bare legs in December people. Can you believe that?!?! Anybody else stumped by this weather?

Because, of this wacky weather you get two looks today. The first look, is what I wore to work. The Second, is what I wore to a Christmas party. I honestly wasn’t sure if I would be attending the party, or if the childcare I had arranged would fall through. I needed to be prepared to watch kiddos if it would turn to that, so I thought jeans would be the best option.Thankfully, the workers made it and Nate and I had a wonderful meal and a fun evening.

This is me being super excited that I think I found a solution to my poorly lit room. I still need to get a new sheet, as this one has been a paint drop cloth.
I also gave what the blogger of Inside Jewelscapes Handmade Jewelry dubbed, “the Small Town Capri” a shot. I think it turned out alright. It looked better when I first put it on, but by 11 when I took the pictures I had just taken a turn for the worst overall.

Really truly bored…I’m growing my hair out. I love it when I have a short hair and long hair, but this in-between growing out thing is driving me crazy. How do you deal with the grow out blahs? I’m thinking about coloring it again, so I have something new. I may try to jazz it up by cutting in a little style without taking off much length. Whatever I do it needs to be done soon. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

As for the clothes I’m wearing the khaki Bermudas again. I wore them here. I like this outfit much better though. What do you think? The shirt is one of my thrift finds from this post. Of course, I’m wearing my sandals again. I’m so glad I included them in this challenge. I have sure gotten my money out of these. All in all, I think I did better than usual with this outfit. This style thing is a work in progress anyway, and I can’t win them all, Right?
