A cheesy (pun intended) shirts and wedge sneakers from Monday’s post. This is what I wore for pizza downtown with my family. I hope I don’t look as freezing cold as I felt taking these pictures. I’m glad this week the weather has been nice and mild.

Take 2 of self-photography at the park here we go. These pictures look much better than the last set. I used many different places to bend my tripod around. I think the different angles and better lighting really helped. They still need work, but you at least get more then one picture.
This was the first cooler day we had that allowed me to lightly layer my outfit. I like the transitional outfit I came up with. The blouse was light and airy, and the colors were still a bit summery. The dark colors of the open cardigan made it a bit more fall like.
Right now, I’m still sort of dreading dressing for the cooler weather. I don’t have many cold weather items that really fit right now. I will not go out and purchase anything new when this baby could come any day. I may pick up a few things at the thrift store after the baby comes as a wardrobe pick me up before I’m back to my old size.

Lyla and I are in a weird transition time. Nap time is becoming a thing of the past, but she still needs to crash every few days. Instead, we have instituted quiet time. We put aside our activities for an hour or so, and she lays on my bed while we watch a show or a movie.
This afternoon, we went to a park to take pictures. Usually, when we have been taking pictures outside, we are in an area I don’t exactly want her to run around wildly. This park houses the field that my husband’s old flag football team practices at. It was the perfect spot to set up my tripod.
When Lyla asked me what we were doing. I told her, “Momma is taking pictures, and you can run around.” Shortly after I started snapping pictures Lyla looked at me and yelled, “Look Mom I’m running around!”

This maternity top leans towards being a bit baggy, and can make you look top heavy. I styled it with a belt, and my maxi dress worn as a skirt. It made it look a little more fitted, and 100% more put together mamma to-be-again than cat lady.
Unfortunately, I put this on just to take Lyla on a walk and grab dinner as soon as Nate got home. That would be why I’m wearing flip-flops and my bra strap is exposed. I can promise you it wasn’t exposed the whole time. Just during these pictures.

I was a little disappointed by Kohl’s. However, it did make it easier to not buy anything when most items were either not my size, or really not my cup of tea. I wasn’t impressed by the designer brands for Kohl’s. Most of it looked pretty cheap. Here are a few items I tried on by the regular lines carried by Kohl’s. I was much happier there.
This dress caught my eye when I was looking for something to sport the animal print trend for fall. It was very work appropriate. The small was a little big on me, but if I wore a cardigan and belted the whole thing it would work. I really like the blue coloring to the print.
