Dedicated

baby dedication, family picture, familyLast weekend Nate and I had baby Jazz dedicated at our church. I don’t have any great outfit pictures from this weekend, but I liked my outfit. Sharing these pictures is the best way I can show off my outfit, and my family. It was a nice time together with family too. After we left church we went out to eat with our families, and Lyla got to spend a little extra time with her cousin. She loves that little guy.

After lunch, we headed back home and I was able to enjoy a refreshing nap. That doesn’t happen very often. Usually, if anyone gets to nap on Sunday it isn’t me. I’m usually busy with laundry, cleaning, or taking care of whichever kiddo didn’t take a nap while Nate sleeps.family, baby dedicationfamily

What do you do on Sunday afternoons?

red tights, pencil skirt, leather jacketI’m happy to say that I’m back in the Everybody, Everywear round up. I actually missed out on voting and even the announcement that colored tights won. Thankfully, I caught Linda’s tweet. I looked down and to my surprise I was wearing a new pair of colored tights. Yep! That is how in tune with the fashion community I am.

floral print blouse, grey pencil skirt, leather jacketI love tights. They are incredibly useful in an outfit. They can add warmth, color, and texture to an otherwise plain outfit. I picked up a three new pairs of tights on Friday when I was wasting time at Target. Waisting time at Target can be quite dangerous, so walking out with only three pairs of tights, a lip stain, and the new Adelle CD (which by the way is fabulous).

Remember to head on over to Everybody, Everywear to see how all the other bloggers are styling there colored tights.

leather jacket, sweater, black jeans, ankle bootsThis is what I wore to celebrate my birthday on Friday night. Nate and I left the kid’s with my mom, and went out for dinner. I had to decide between sushi and steak. Since, I haven’t been able to eat sushi for the last nine months that won me over. We decided to try Dozo, the new sushi bar and lounge that opened up late this summer. I must say I enjoyed myself despite the loud music. The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. Service was quick and everything was priced reasonably. To top things off, they have one of my favorite ice creams ever. For dessert we spilt a glass of green tea ice cream. Everything was just as good as I remembered it being.

After leaving the restaurant I requested we head over to our favorite coffee shop for a hot going home treat. Once my hands were wrapped around a cup of green tea chai latte (can you tell I’ve got a thing for green tea?!?) we trekked back to our car, and went to pick up Lyla and Jasper.

leather jacket, striped sweater, skinny cargo pants, oxford shoesNatasha, of Required 2 Be Inspired, has been wearing her skinny cargo pants and making me jealous. You see I purchased this pair from the girl’s department of Target. However, I haven’t been able to wear them for a long time. Well, almost eight months to be more specific. The time has come that I fit into them again. WooHoo!!! I’m happy to wear them at least a few times this fall. The only draw back is I think I grew a couple of inches during the pregnancy, because, they are a little short now. Tucked into boots this won’t be a problem.

Welcome back from the holiday weekend! I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and enjoyed their family and friends! We had two Christmases on Christmas Eve, one on Christmas Day, another yesterday, and just the three of us on Christmas Morning That was probably my favorite part. Lyla had much more fun this year. She was able to open her gifts by herself, and actually enjoyed the toys and clothes she received.

If you are the gift type, I hope you got some good stuff. What was your favorite gift? One of my top gifts was my new coffee mug. I get a discount every time I use it at my favorite coffee shop. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving. I also received some new accessories that I’ll be pairing up soon. Also, I was given some cash that I’m toying around with what I want to purchase. Nate and I also have dinner and a movie paid for in gift cards.  I see a date night in the near future! Any movie suggestions?
