I’ve worn this shirt multiple times since picking it up on clearance. However, this is its first blog appearance. I really like the stripes with bold lip prints. This time I paired it under a blazer and on top of over the knee boots.

This has been a crazy week. I’ve had a headache almost everyday for reasons I can’t figure out. I’m getting about the same amount of sleep I always get. I haven’t consumed anything unusual either. It’s just annoying to wake up fine get one thing done around the house and to get hit by a headache.

After posting two almost identical outfits so close together I wanted to make sure I was not wearing mustard yellow yet again. Instead, I went with a cozy orange sweater and a pretty scarf.

pattern mixing, sweater, shorts, legwarmers, bootsA while back in my blogging history I wore shorts and tights together. Today I took it a step farther by pairing my shorts with leggings, tall boots, and pink & blue leg warmers. To make it even braver still I was mixing patterns too. I got weird looks, but I was warm and comfortable on a cold Christmas Eve eve.shorts with tights, pattern mixing, over the knee boots

Nate and I actually have the next two weeks off together. We don’t have any real plans made besides Christmas events. Tonight we will go to Red Lobster to have dinner with my Grandpa and some extended family. Tomorrow morning will be our family Christmas with just the kids, preceding, spending Christmas day with my family. Finally, Monday morning we will have breakfast and Christmas with Nate’s family.pattern mixing

sweater dress, boots, leggingsLast Friday night (not to be confused by the annoyingly catchy Katy Perry song) was my dance studio’s Christmas Party. We went out for pedicures (something as a woman in general I like, but as a dancer that abuses my feet I love a good pedicure) and dinner at Upstream Brewery. A fantastic time was had by all. I have to say that I think my job has the best staff Christmas parties EVER!!!

I had to dress warm, because, of the snow and freezing cold weather. However, I had to be able to roll up my pants for the pedicure. I can’t quite comfortably fit into my wider legged pants yet, so I choose to wear leggings with my sweater dress. I was comfortably warm and appropriately dressed for the occasion.

If you’ve read my pathetic attempt at an about me page, or you read this post, you know I’m a dancer/dance teacher. Of course, I’ve mentioned it on Twitter a handful of times too.

Today is National Dance Day! What is that? It is a small, grass roots initiative to inspire people of all ages, sizes, and experience to get up and move. So You Think You Can Dance has even posted three different videos with varying degrees of skill levels for you to learn short pieces from awesome choreographers.

Well, I wanted to do a video (memory card isn’t fast enough) or maybe even a gif, but I haven’t had the time (or the brain power) to get it put together. Instead, the best I could do was tote my tripod out to the studio, set the timer, and see what would happen. I can’t really add any words to these pictures, so I will let them speak for themselves. After all, dance is the language of the feet.
