Does anybody else regret a few of there 30 for 30 pieces due to the changing weather? I included my denim skirt, because, we had weeks of wonderful 70+ weather. Unfortunately, just after the challenge started the weather dropped dramatically. We even had 4″ of snow over the weekend. Let me tell you I wasn’t to happy about that.

Well, I’m not giving up on this skirt regardless of the weather. I decided to wear some fun, colorful sweater tights. I actually really like the look. I thought at first I would feel like a little kid. The kiddos I watch at nursery have pulled out there sweater tights, and today I joined them.

Khaki, dark brown, light brown, olive, and denim. This look is packed full of neutrals from head to stiletto. I may have been a dressed in a boring color palette, but my date night was pretty fun. Nate and I headed up to Omaha for dinner, shoe shopping, and to see a movie. Shoe shopping for date night…how lucky am I? I have to say that I didn’t walk away with new shoes.

After School

In all honesty this was shot on a weekend, at a school I have never attended. It was a really cool fall day, and a sweater and tights was completely appropriate. I think fall may actually have shown up on my doorstep. I guess I’ll have to wait and see how things pan out.

Several of the blogs I read have done looks with tights and shorts as a transitional fall look. Well I haven’t gathered the guts to try that out yet. This khaki corduroy mini is as close as I’ve come. What do you think about the shorts/tights trend? Do you wear it?

Train Station

Nate had an interview at one of the campus dinning halls today, so I dropped him off and took advantage of the first hour free parking downtown. This was the perfect excuse to stop in at The Black Market, a consignment shop loved by many in the Lincoln area. Surprisingly enough, I left empty handed. I did see a leather coat I may have to go back to pick up. I just wasn’t sure about it, and I didn’t have a second opinion there to help me make a decision.

After the interview I talked the hubs into going a few blocks over to the train station to get a few pictures. It was so bright out that the lighting really sucks, but these two look decent. At least to me they do, but a professional photographer I am not.

Please keep your fingers crossed that he gets one of the four jobs he has interviewed for in the last two weeks. He really would like to get out of his current job in the hospital cafeteria.

In my pictures you can’t see the detailing at the top of the shirt, so here you go.

With leggings this skirt is way shorter than I remember it being when I bought it at the thrift store. When I got it I had bare legs, so it sat lower on my hips. I think I will only wear it with leggings after this, if at all. The good thing about thrifting is it only cost me $2.00. What do you think? Help me out, is this too short with leggings? I originally planned on wearing it with colorful tights, and thicker knit tops this fall.

By the way these pictures are my second attempt at using my tripod and self-timer by myself. They turned out way better than last time. Practice makes perfect.
