I took my own advice from my post about wearing unexpected colors during fall/autumn, and I must say I loved the results. What do you think? Now, that isn’t to say I don’t like to wear darker colors too. I just like to keep my options open. How about you? Anybody else taking a walk on the bright side this season?

Gosh…this was the most trouble I’ve had putting together an outfit in a VERY long time. I tried on probably 5 different outfits for this wedding reception, but had trouble finding things that I liked. It didn’t help that there wasn’t really a dress code to follow. The bridesmaids even had varying degrees of casualness. The groom wore his Marine dress uniform, the bride wore a formal wedding dress, and the groomsmen all had on suits. As for the guests it ranged from little black dresses to jeans and nicer t-shirts. I guess I was somewhere in between all of that. I had a really bad day and just wanted to be comfy, so I did break my own rule and wore very thick, opaque leggings with a shirt that wasn’t complete past my butt the whole way around.

That’s all you get today. One single picture, however, it isn’t so sensational. Whenever I think of “one” or “singular” I think of the big number from Chorus Line with all of the glittery gold top hats, mirrors, and dancers legs that go on and on.

Puzzle Pieces

Good things started happening to me a few weeks ago, and they just keep coming. First the nursery director job and choreographing for Creative Academy. Then today, I was asked by my old dance teacher to come and help out at her studio. I will be working behind the office once a week, and will get to sub classes, and teach if they need to add to the schedule. I’m so excited about all of these wonderful opportunities. I know my plate is really full right now, but I’m hoping between all of the extra stuff I may get to leave my full-time job to be a stay at home/work from home mom during the day. I can’t wait to see what the next piece of the puzzle is.

What good things are happening for you right now?
My style inspiration today was Katy over at ModlyChic, and her dressed down LBD. I loved her vest, however, it wasn’t in my closet. This pink jacket is the closest thing I have. So it isn’t a copy, rather, a tip of the hat to a well dressed lady.
Last night, Nate and I planned a lovely evening at home just the two of us. As the norm on Friday nights, Lyla spent the night with my mom. We had a yummy meal consisting of Lobster ravioli with white wine sauce, asparagus, and a glass of wine. We watched a movie too. Thanks to Netflix instant movies I didn’t have to think that one out ahead of time. We just pick whatever jumps out at us from the lists.

The last three times we have planned to enjoy this meal things were changed on us. Oh well, third times the charm. Right?
