After posting two almost identical outfits so close together I wanted to make sure I was not wearing mustard yellow yet again. Instead, I went with a cozy orange sweater and a pretty scarf.

All over the nation, we had a mild winter. Spring is here now, but it feels a bit more like summer. On one of the few cooler, spring like day I wore this slightly autumnal sweater/color palate. It wasn’t anything really special, because, it was another day I didn’t know what I would be doing out at the studio.
On my way to work, I stopped in Ashland to snap up a few pictures of my outfit. I was having camera trouble, so these aren’t the best pictures. However, you get the basic feeling of my outfit.

This is what I wore for my birthday on Tuesday. My husband worked and had school, so I didn’t get to really celebrate my birthday. I did have a day full of activities that kept me busy and smiling.
I started out the day fully rested thanks to Jazz thoughtfully allowing me a solid six hour stretch of sleep. We then headed out to my Mom’s office to show off Gammie’s precious little bundle. Afterwards we went to Trader Joe’s, and picked up a few yummy treats. We came home to eat our delicious chicken noodle soup. Then it was time to head over to the library. We hung out there for awhile practicing naming letters on the magnet board and coloring. Once we tired of that it was time to go back home and get my little ballerina ready for dance.
The big end to my day was Lyla deciding that my birthday dinner should be McDonald’s. Um? Yum? Regardless, of how the day went I was happy to spend it with my kids.

I like how the color of the scarf and the sundress blended together. I also was happy wearing it with silver flats instead of the summer wedges I wore before. I did a lot of walking, and needed to carry Lyla the last part of the way home. I’m not sure I have the balance to do that in heels with this bump.
Now, I’m looking for ideas to style this sundress for real fall weather. Any suggestions? I’m thinking a sweater of some sort with thick tights and my tan colored boots.

I have always liked this little square park. It sits out in front of the old courthouse building, and is maintained beautifully. Sadly, the water wasn’t turned on when I went to take pictures here. None the less, it is a pretty location and well maintained. It is also semi-guarded from view.
Yes, this dress is a little shorter than I care to wear. Yet, it is bloody hot out! I felt like I was on fire most of the day. You can rest assured that I pulled on a pair of bike shorts to keep everything covered up. Usually, it isn’t this short on me either. Baby J’s bump is hiking up the hemline.
Today, Lyla and I went to our Mommy and Me dance class out at the studio I teach at. She absolutely loves it! As soon as she leaves she asks, “How many sleeps until my next dance?” After dance, we came home and made lunch. It was really nice having somewhere to go in the morning. It made the day go by much faster. It was also nice that Nate’s sister decided to pick Lyla up to take her swimming for the afternoon. Momma got a nice little break.
