It’s Friday people! Honestly, this was a very long week. I don’t have big plans for this weekend except for attending my cousin’s wedding on Sunday afternoon. Saturday, I plan on sleeping in and going about my day in as relaxed a way as I possibly can. This is my second to last weekend off, before, Nate and I are back to working opposite shifts on Saturdays. Double this with the fact that he works Sunday mornings also, weekends aren’t easy for us if we want to see each other at all.

What are you doing this weekend? For those of you who have gone back to school to teach or learn, or have children in school how have the first days gone? Have you fell into your stride and figured out schedules and such? I’ve been writing out my lesson plans for the first week of classes, and now I need to come up with choreography for combos too. I love my job!

Today’s outfit was barely cool enough for the unusual heat we have been experiencing. I had to get at least one more use out of these fuchsia jeans. You see, even though I’ve been back to pre-pregnancy weight for a while now I just recently started to workout again really hardcore. These jeans were already a size or two bigger than I would usually wear. Now they are definitely on the baggy beside for me. I’m debating about cutting them into shorts to try and squeeze out a few more wears this summer. As you’ve seen on this blog and read in Friday’s post, I am not a one time, one wear blogger. I think despite the roomier waistband up I can come up with a few fun outfits if these pants became shorts. To cut, or not to cut?!?! You decide. What would you do if you were me?

Starting today, I’m on spring break from the dance studio. I have a feeling, that it is going to be a very long week. I will spend the day with the kids like always, but I won’t get my quiet time in the car that I get on a usual work day. To add to things Nate will be starting his new part time job running sound at our church. Being that it is Easter week, he will be working every night from now till after the third service on Sunday afternoon. Suggestions on what to do with both of the kids while flying solo in the evenings?

pattern mixing, sweater, shorts, legwarmers, bootsA while back in my blogging history I wore shorts and tights together. Today I took it a step farther by pairing my shorts with leggings, tall boots, and pink & blue leg warmers. To make it even braver still I was mixing patterns too. I got weird looks, but I was warm and comfortable on a cold Christmas Eve eve.shorts with tights, pattern mixing, over the knee boots

Nate and I actually have the next two weeks off together. We don’t have any real plans made besides Christmas events. Tonight we will go to Red Lobster to have dinner with my Grandpa and some extended family. Tomorrow morning will be our family Christmas with just the kids, preceding, spending Christmas day with my family. Finally, Monday morning we will have breakfast and Christmas with Nate’s family.pattern mixing

plaid shirt, rosesThe fashion blogging community has mixed opinions on pregnant bloggers, and how much or little should be shared. Some people don’t mind pregnant bloggers just as long as they don’t get all mushy, gushy on them. I have not been told I have gone over board, or that people appreciate my take on maternity fashion while not crossing an invisible line of “etiquette” for a lack of a better word. However, I’m almost done with this pregnancy, and it will likely be my last (for awhile at least). Since, I am nearing the finish line I may cross that invisible line and post my un-maternity pictures. I say “un-maternity”, because, I didn’t do a lot of the look at my baby bump!, or overly sweet husband kissing the belly, and I certainly wasn’t going to show my pregnancy battle scars (even though I’m not ashamed of them in the least bit). In these maternity pictures I am fully clothed, by myself, and the only gushy part is  the words already written in the ground.maternity pictures, pattern mixing, butterfliesmaternity pictures, pattern mixing, flannel shirt

I was in the mood for fall pattern mixing in hopes of cooler weather for browsing the Barn Festival last weekend. Sadly, it was 70 out and I was a bit toasty.pattern mixing, flannel shirt, plaid shirt, jeansstripes and plaid,

color denim, color blocking, jacket, oxfordsThis month for Everybody, Everwear the winner of the public voting is Colored Denim. I think I did a little dance when I found out. I had the absolute perfect outfit in mind. I knew my thrifted pair of fuchsia jeans, and my new Oxford mini wedges (a full review of these here) would be making an appearance. I lucked out and wore the outfit to a birthday party from Nate’s family. The hall the party was held at was blocks away from a colorful, little part of town. When we drove by I knew I had to go back for pictures.

colored denim, color blocking, oxford wedgesI don’t have much to say today. I’ve been busy trying to get things lined up before the baby gets here. Clothes and cloth diapers are washed and ready to go. However, the nursery isn’t exactly set up yet. I need to get on that ASAP. Not much time left folks. As for that I’m also trying to line up guest bloggers and giveaways for you awesome readers. Fingers crossed I get a few more of each, and you enjoy every second of it.
