eshakti, dress, customize, customizable clothes,

I must say, eShakti is, one of my favorite online clothing companies, high up on my list of special occasion clothing stops. When Jennifer contacted me to review eShakti’s spring and summer line I knew I would find the perfect Easter dress. It was pretty hard to choose. I found so many quirky, fun printed dresses. After finding this hot air balloon printed dress I fell in love.

This year, I knew what kind of look I was going for. I wanted a full skirt, however, I also wanted a slim line. I wanted a dress that I could wear my most comfortable pair of heels. This dress was just that! eShakti offers customization of their clothing line too. I chose a longer length, inset cap sleeves, and a v-neck. One of the silliest things I love about eShakti dresses is that so many of them have pockets! Pockets, my dear friends, are God’s gift to dresses and skirts. Another bonus I didn’t discover until I put the dress on was that it has snaps for my bra straps. Definitely a pleasant surprise!

Dress-eShakti, Shoes-Secondhand, Jean Jacket-Target

I’ve simplified my basic everyday routine down to five of my favorite products. They also happen to combine to make simple look in minutes flat. I know not everybody is adding a baby to the family like myself and these ladies, but nearly everyone is looking for ways to get out of the door faster. Without further rambling, here are my top five fast and easy beauty products.

fast, easy beauty productsWet ‘n’ wild intuitive blend primer/foundation, E.L.F. Eyelid Primer,

E.L.F. complexion perfection, Maybelline Falsies mascara, E.L.F. felt tip eyelinerbeauty products Wet n wild intuitive blend primer/foundation

I start my routine by smoothing on the Wet n Wild primer/foundation. To keep it quick and simple I just use my fingers to do this part. I really like that I don’t have to have agonize over picking out a perfectly matching foundation for both spring/summer and fall/winter. Since this one self-adjusts I can typically get away with the one level all year long. When I want extra coverage I apply my liquid foundation after this step. It helps even things out a bit when used as a foundation. When used as a primer it helps my foundation last all day long.

The reason I really like the E.L.F. felt tip eyeliner, is you can easily make your line as thin or dramatic as you would like. It gets bonus points for not needing to be sharpened. I hate sharpening liner pencils.beauty products Maybelline Falsies mascara

I’ve mentioned this beauty product before on the blog. Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Mascara is my all time favorite mascara. As far as beauty products go it is fairly inexpensive, and can be found at all drugstores.

moo cards #3

I received my Moo cards awhile ago, but I haven’t gotten around to posting about them*. I want to share them with you, because, if you are in the market for new business cards you NEED to check into MOO first! This just doesn’t apply to fashion bloggers. They have so many amazing pre-made options that you can use, but my favorite feature (and what makes them great for fashion bloggers) is that you can personalize one side with pictures. Yes! I said “pictures”, as in plural, you can theoritcally have a different picture on every single card.

I wanted some variation, but not an overwhelming amount, I chose eleven pictures. I also decided to go with the option to have rounded corners. Not only are my new business cards unique, because, they have my picture on them not many people have rounded corners for their cards. I really like the look it gives the cards.

moo cards #2

A few other things I really like about my Moo Cards is how sturdy they are. I chose the green paper option, because, that is the easiest to write on in pen or pencil. Moo says that the classic paper is able to be written on, but you may need a permanent marker. That isn’t something I usually have on hand in my purse. Kids and permanent markers aren’t always a good mix.

Are you interested in getting your own Moo cards for 10% off? Here is a discount for my friends!

Now, I need to get to work handing these babies out! Do you know know any fun fashion events going on in Nebraska? Anybody up for a Midwest Fashion Blogger Meetup?

*This is not a paid review. Everything written here is my personal opinion of this product.

I was a little disappointed by Kohl’s. However, it did make it easier to not buy anything when most items were either not my size, or really not my cup of tea. I wasn’t impressed by the designer brands for Kohl’s. Most of it looked pretty cheap. Here are a few items I tried on by the regular lines carried by Kohl’s. I was much happier there.

AB Studio Leopard Sheath Dress

This dress caught my eye when I was looking for something to sport the animal print trend for fall. It was very work appropriate. The small was a little big on me, but if I wore a cardigan and belted the whole thing it would work. I really like the blue coloring to the print.

Apt. 9® Cheetah Embellished Tunic
They were displaying this tunic with a pair of leggings that were not quite opaque enough for my taste. I felt more comfortable pairing it with my jeans. Being it polyester it had a nice feel to it, but I could do without the detailing at the top. I would prefer wearing a nice statement necklace with it. Jeans, boots, clutch, and your reading for a fall date night.

Apt. 9® Kaleidoscope Tunic
I have pretty much the same things to say about this tunic as the last one. However, I like the thicker belt a little better than the thin one.
ELLE™ Lace Tunic
I also wanted to find something with lace detailing, because, that is supposed to be a fall trend too. I liked this top except for the extra ruffle on the sleeves. If they would have made the sleeve a little more fitted, and use the same trim as the neckline I may have purchased this one. They say this is a tunic, but I strongly disagree. I think a tunic should at least cover your butt.

I'm Loving It

My vacation has come to an end. I’m sad to see it is over, but after a whole week without my daughter I’m very glad to have her around again. Tomorrow I head back to work, and will resume a normal blogging schedule.

Now for the point of this post. What has caught my attention so much so that I bought one in almost every color? Not to mention inspiring a whole post about it. On the way out of Great Lakes Crossing mall I saw a New York and Compnay, and had to stop in when I saw a BOGO offer on pants. I spotted there denim wall right away, and wasn’t seeing any skinny jeans in a wash I liked. However, I walked a little farther down and saw them. Jean leggings. I really like them on. They are super stretchy and comfortable, but didn’t bag after a full days wear. They will tuck into boots without a problem. The regular length hits at just the right spot for heels and flats. They have a dark wash, medium wash, khaki, black, and a brownish color. The thing I love so much about them is they don’t look like leggings, and actually fit my waist much better than most pants. I really don’t have any complaints about them. I think they will be in heavy rotation whenever it decides to cool down a bit.

By the way they aren’t as shiny in person. The medium denim wash are more faded too. The three pictured are what I brought home, and to round out my BOGO offer I got these dress capris.
