tank top, trapeze top, shorts, cutoffs, sandalsThis trapeze tank top is another item I received from my sister when she cleaned out her closet. I kind of LOVE it! Very light and airy. Simply perfect for blistering summer weather. Which by the way, with kids going back to school shouldn’t we be getting some cooler almost fall like weather? I would love to wear a new pair of jeans I’ve got hanging in my closet.rings, chevron rings, chevron, pink nail polishtank top, trapeze top, shorts, cutoffs, sandalsNow to turn things around for a second. I have to say that a baby in a t-shirt and cloth diaper is probably the cutest thing I’ve seen all summer. I want to take a second to introduce you to a cute currently local find that is going to end up on the finger of one lucky reader. Lulu’s Vintage is run by two fun military spouses. They take vintage finds and repurpose them. For instance, this ring was once a clip on earring. They always have something new to add to their etsy store, also due to the traveling nature of their careers you never know where they will be and what is going to pop up next on their site.

Please take a look at their site, and let me know your favorite piece(s). Personally, I love the vintage pearl & turquoise ring. They also have a couple of great bow ties on the site now too.

How To Enter

1. Visit Lulu’s Vintage, and leave me the name or link of your favorite piece.

2. Follow NGF via Bloglovin, GFC, Twitter, or Facebook for an extra entry.

Just leave a separate comment for both entries. Include your email address in your comment form, so I can contact you if you win. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.

I found Miss Ky’s Couture at the Haymarket Farmer’s Market in my area. When I passed by the booth, I saw a few different pieces that I liked. It was the charm necklaces that caught my eye originally.

Then I saw the earrings she made. I really like how simple some of them are without looking boring. I believe that all of her earrings are made from sterling silver.

Kylee also makes personalized silver tag style necklaces. I also found a handful of other really cute pieces that were a bit on the fun side. Brightly colored coiled rings, or button embellished rings in a variety of sizes, colors, and shapes. Or, if you prefer the more sophisticated pieces she has oodles of pearl and silver items. I wanted to get several different colored pearl necklaces.

However, what I ended up walking away with is three of her bottle cap charms. Why did I get them? I wanted to make a creative mother’s necklace. My one of a kind necklace includes a charm that has a letter representing each of my children, and one with an “!” for the baby I never got to meet.

A few things that I like about these specific pieces is that the charms may rub up against each other, but they haven’t gotten scratched up at all. Also, I can switch them up to a variety of different chain styles and lengths. I love the number of choices that this gives me. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on how cute the necklace is, and how wonderful the mother’s necklace idea is.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Kylee and her jewelry. She was very pleasant to talk to despite how blazing hot out it was, or how busy the market was. I know that I will be going back to her booth soon, and can’t wait to show you what I get next!

Do you know what today is? Well lovelies, today is my blog birthday. However, I feel like I’m starting all over with this blog. I had to take time off for medical/personal reasons. I know a small number of you are still around and commenting, for that I am thankful and I love you all. Another handful jumped ship, but I’m ok with that (I think, or at least I’m trying to be).

Anyway, I’m so grateful for all of my wonderful readersĀ  I wanted to giveaway a little thank you gift package. I thought opening my new domain and my blog birthday would be the perfect timing. It is also a thank you for putting up with everything while I continue to tweak the site design. Please let me know if you find anything that isn’t working properly, or is giving you issues.

The package is a few of my favorite things.

Please excuse the bad polish job. It was right before lunchtime and a hungry toddler didn’t allow for touch-ups first.

One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn’t belong. Yes, my coat wasn’t part of my 30 for 30 pieces. However, it was really cold at work today. Solution? I wore my coat all day. I actually got lots of comments on what I nice leather coat I had. I was happy to inform them that it actually is a faux jacket from Target of all places. You should have seen the look on one of my customers faces.
