Lyla is a big fan of color! When she picked the tank top she told me “you need a little pink mom.” All together this is a comfy, end of summer outfit. Two thumbs up Lyla!pink. grey, blue, cropped shirt, shorts, sandalspink. grey, blue, cropped shirt, shorts, sandals

I wore this simple summer outfit awhile ago, but haven’t gotten around to posting it. Nate and I went to take pictures, but as soon as we stepped outside the wind whipped around and the temperature dropped about ten degrees from what it as just ten minutes before. Instead of venturing out and using my dslr we opted to staying on the porch and snapping a couple quick iPhone pics.

Dedicated

baby dedication, family picture, familyLast weekend Nate and I had baby Jazz dedicated at our church. I don’t have any great outfit pictures from this weekend, but I liked my outfit. Sharing these pictures is the best way I can show off my outfit, and my family. It was a nice time together with family too. After we left church we went out to eat with our families, and Lyla got to spend a little extra time with her cousin. She loves that little guy.

After lunch, we headed back home and I was able to enjoy a refreshing nap. That doesn’t happen very often. Usually, if anyone gets to nap on Sunday it isn’t me. I’m usually busy with laundry, cleaning, or taking care of whichever kiddo didn’t take a nap while Nate sleeps.family, baby dedicationfamily

What do you do on Sunday afternoons?

sweater, sweatshirt, jacket, skinny jeans, bootiesI’ve got news that makes me very happy, but won’t mean very much to you. Less than four months ago I was dressing creatively to feel pretty while being nine months pregnant. Well, today I was able to successfully button up my smallest pair of jeans! WooHoo!!! I still have a few more pounds to loose before  I’m back at pre-pregnancy weight, but as long as my clothes fit I’m a happy girl!sweater, sweatshirt,

I picked up this sweatshirt/jacket at Scout Dry Goods & Trade on a weekend shopping trip to Omaha. Nate and I haven’t been on a good shopping trip in a while. It was fun even taking both of the kids with us. The funny part is we could have gone to lots of stores that we don’t have in Lincoln. What do we do? We go to a second hand store and a Goodwill. I must say this was one of my favorite Goodwill stores ever. Very well organized and lots of stuff!skinny jeans, ankle boots, booties, black shoes, high heels

The next time we go to Omaha I want to hit up Charming Charlie’s. I am in a great need of some new accessories. Not a desperate need that has to be met mind you. However, I don’t have a lot of accessories and part of my style resolutions is to try to wear more accessories. Have you had experience at this store? Do you like the stuff? How is the quality?

vintage dress, lilac dress, cape, high heelsI try to dress up on the Sunday’s that we go to church. By dress up, I mean wearing outfits that it may be difficult to nurse in. I usually have one left over bottle from everything thawed out from Jazz’s time at Gammie’s on Saturday, so I can use that for the feeding at church. That means dresses will occasionally make their way out of my closet, or difficult blouses with my large collection of pencil skirts.ruffles, t-strap shoes, high heelsblack cape, lilac dress, purple dress, vintage dress

This lovely, vintage lilac dress I picked up for $3 at Goodwill. It comes complete with union made tags. I bought it while I was pregnant, so I didn’t know if it would ever fit me but I wasn’t going to pass it up. It is too big for me, but I belted it and wore my second hand cape that I scored at Scout Dry Goods & Trade. That helped cover up the bigger areas a bit. My other problem that day was the fact I couldn’t find my slip anywhere, so I had to wear my purple pencil skirt underneath to keep things covered up. We also had some nicer weather Sunday, so I was bare legged and wore one of my favorite pair of open toed heels. I was in heaven! Talbot's cape, black cape, vintage dress
