OK, OK, OK, this isn’t much of a how to post. However, I am going to show you I used earrings that caused me problems with regular wear.
I decided to pin these earrings on my cardigan, and it added I nice bit of flair. Also, I don’t have any brooches or pins that are seasonally appropriate. What do you think? I liked it, and since I was heading to work right after dance this was a nice way “jazz” up the leotard I was wearing as a tank.

People have told me my daughter is shy. To call her shy is to be as wrong as you can possibly be. During today’s photo shoot we went to the Sunken Gardens in the evening. With the nice weather lots of people where out taking walks. I think Lyla went out of her way to say hello to just about everyone. This includes showing an older gentleman how he should pose if someone is taking his picture. She makes friends everywhere she goes, unless, she happens to have just woken up then she isn’t shy she is just not fully awake yet.

It all started out with me regretting my 30 for 30 pieces. My closet is pretty slim anyway, so I thought it would be no big deal to only have 30 items to pick from. Let me tell you I was very, very wrong. The good news is after reading lots and lots of fashion blogs I am inspired on new ways to wear several of my wardrobe pieces not on my 30 for 30 list. The bad news is two of my pieces had a bad run in with a bottle of dark purple nail polish at the mall today.

Since I was having a rough day I decided to go to the mall for some time alone. I thought I would look for some accessories to spice up my 30 for 30 items. I know the re-mixers are supposed to be on a shopping ban during the challenge. Since accessories don’t count as part of your 30 pieces, and I really didn’t have many accessories to choose from,  I am going to bend the rules to give myself the same advantages the other re-mixers all ready have.  I also wouldn’t be spending very much, because, as I found out our mall is having it’s semi-annual “Lemon Days”.

I walked in through Younker’s, and they had a bin full of half off OPI nail polishes. I was looking through them, and the lady next to me dropped a bottle of dark purple polish. It broke open when it hit the floor. The lady managed to not get a single purple drop on herself. While I got most of the bottle all over my dress pants and shoes. The good part is the sales associate gave me an extra discount because of the disaster. I walked away with five new polishes for the price of two full price bottles. SCORE!!! Bad news I can’t get the polish out of the pants, and the shoes are pretty damaged too. I don’t have any clue what I am going to do. I only have the khaki Bermudas and the khaki pencil skirt on my list of pieces that I can wear to work. Bloggers what do you think I should do? Do I get a bye and add two more pieces to my list? The only other option is to bore you to death while repeating khaki bottoms over and over,

Enough is enough about my bad day. Here are the outfit pictures I remembered to take before the nail polish incident.

Accessories are all gifts from Christmas
That is the question I ask today. I kept tying and untying this shirt throughout the day. I don’t know which way I like better. The hubby says untied looks better, and I think he may be right. Before you tell me, I already now I’m being really boring by wearing khaki on the bottom two days in a row. My reasoning is I just got my new to me Gap khaki pencil skirt back from the cleaners, and since today is the last day of the work week I had to wear it. I’m pretty happy with the fit of it, and at $5.00 from a consignment store I couldn’t pass it up. I wish I could have worn either black or nude pumps with this skirt, but my black pumps recently bit the dust.

Now to make up for being so boring by my repetitive use of the color khaki. I give you second outfit of the day. I had extra running around to do after work, and wanted to be a little more comfy than my skirt would allow. I’m glad I changed, because, I ended up taking a quick car trip up to Omaha for dinner and some shopping. Don’t worry this second outfit still came out of my 30 for 30 remix pieces. Without further delay I give you outfit #2.

I’m really glad I changed. Not only because of the car trip, but dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise was so yummy I don’t think I would of had the room in that skirt. I hope you Friday was wonderful, and you enjoy your weekend to the fullest.
