We All Scream For Ice Cream

Nobody has said a single word, but Lyla pipes up, “Daddy, did you say you want ice cream?” Nate and I die laughing, but sadly we didn’t have time to stop and get the girl ice cream. We had to get home, so Nate could go to work. However, you can’t blame the girl for trying. Starting to dress for fall in the summer

purple, tanktop, skirt, sandalsI can’t wait for cooler weather. Lucky me that Thursday and Friday of last week the weather cooled off a bit. It was a easily tolerable 75 degrees out. That slight change in weather had me thinking fall, and I wanted to style a dress I’ve worn numerous times but has yet to make its way onto the blog. Don’t ask me why, sometimes these things just happen for unexplainable reasons. It just reminds me of fall, and a bit like camouflage the more I think about it. I find it funny that the first time this dress is posted here it isn’t even worn as a dress. Well, such is life when you try to make the most out of your closet instead of wearing things as they are. By the way, this dress is another maternity piece worn even when not pregnant.

Ease on Down the Road

Hi-Low Skirt and a Gentle Breeze

I love this skirt I got from the children’s section of Target. However, now it is a little big and must be worn with a belt. The problem is it doesn’t have any belt loops. To make it work for me I used this rope belt I got from Target to make the skirt kind of a paper bag style. May not look the greatest, but it worked. I didn’t loose my skirt. I call that a win!
